Description
Scale buildup reduces heat transfer, particularly in domestic water heaters. Sentinel CalSanit Sanit Descaler effectively removes scale from heat exchangers, water heaters, coils, and domestic hot water systems to restore their heat transfer performance. Thanks to its unique formulation, Sentinel CalSanit acts as a complexing and penetrating dispersant, in less acidic conditions than other mineral acid-based products. Less aggressive for the installation and the metals that compose it, Sentinel CalSanit is also safe for the installer and the environment. Completely biodegradable and non-toxic, it requires no special precautions during transport and storage and can be safely discharged into the sewer system.

It is compatible with all synthetic materials, metals, and alloys commonly used in sanitary installations, including aluminium and stainless steel. For aluminium, the descaling time should not exceed 2 hours.


Usage
Dosage Sentinel CalSanit should be diluted with water to obtain a concentration of 10-20%. A higher concentration can be used to descale heavily scaled surfaces or to accelerate descaling. Descaling is accelerated when the Sentinel CalSanit solution is both heated and circulated; however, the temperature should not exceed 60°C.

For even faster and more effective descaling, Sentinel CalSanit should be used in conjunction with a descaling/sludge removal pump.

Instructions for use Electric water heater: Immerse only the scaled part of the heating element in the Sentinel CalSanit descaling solution, taking care not to splash the electrical controls.

Heat exchanger: Disconnect the heat exchanger from the installation and connect the flow and return to a descaling/sludge removal pump. Circulate the Sentinel CalSanit descaling solution, concentrated at 20%, through the exchanger until the limescale has completely disappeared. For greater descaling efficiency, it is advisable to reverse the flow regularly.

Domestic hot water circuits: Turn off the boiler and water heater and cut off the water supply. Drain the system completely by opening the hot water taps. Prepare the required quantity of descaling solution by diluting Sentinel CalSanit to 20% with water.

Connect the descaling machine/descaling pump; then circulate this solution through the domestic hot water circuit until the limescale has completely disappeared.

After any descaling, the system must be thoroughly rinsed with water until the pH of the rinse water is equal to the pH of the filling water.
